I study how campaign communication, candidate characteristics, and political representation shape public opinion and democratic choice.
I am a doctoral candidate in American Politics and Statistical Methodology at Rutgers University. My work uses survey experiments, open-ended text, electoral returns, demographic data, and computational methods to answer questions about campaigns, representation, and voter behavior.

My dissertation, Negativity Bias Revisited, examines how the effects of campaign appeals have changed over time. Related projects address candidate age, and generative AI for classifying open-ended survey responses.
